Who is Topyot?

Topyot is a family business located in the greater Vienna area. We have always wanted to share our passion for sailing with other people and out of this desire Topyot was born. We have specialized  in making the booking process  of sailing and motor boats as simple and smooth as possible. Through the whole process we will be your only contact person. Welcome on board, we will help you to navigate towards your dream holidays at sea.

How do I book a boat?

First, you enter your preferred destination and time period into the search field. Now you can search through our database for your favorite boat. Please choose a boat and add addional options like skipper and other extras according to your needs . To finally reserve the boat, press “direct booking”. You will receive an email with all the information and payment details regarding your sailing boat.

You are also welcome to request a non-binding offer by email. For this, you want to push the “send offer” buttonand  and will receive then all the details about your boat and the costs.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. We would love to help and support you in your search. Together we will look for the most suitable offer for you at the best  price.

What’s on board?

Usually, the cabins are equipped with blankets and covers. The galley is equipped with dishes and pots. If you have any doubts that something special could be missing, please feel free to contact us at any time. We will get in contact with the charter company and clarify this for you. Once you are on site and discover you miss something, the missing accessory will, based on experience,  be supplied before the start of your trip.

Can I get in touch with the charter company before booking the boat?

Just send us an email and we will put you in touch with the charter company. We look forward to your inquiry.

How can I figure out where my boat is currently located?

In the boat description you will find information on where the boat is located.

How long does it take until the charter company confirms my booking request?

The charter company will confirm your booking request in less than 24 hours.

When do I receive the contact details of the charter company?

Once your booking request is confirmed, you will receive the contact details of the charter company.

When can I check in?

This depends a lot on the charter company. You will receive specific information regarding your charter company once your booking request is confirmed.

The number of crew members has changed. What do I have to do?

If the number of crew members is higher than the number of available beds, please contact us at office@topyot.com

Can the prices of boats change?

Prices always depend on the level of demand, the particular season and special offers and can therefore change accordingly.

What kind of Licenses do I need to rent a boat?

In order to be able to rent a boat, most countries ask for an internationally recognized license(ICC, Radio LIcense, CEVNI). If you do not have any of these licenses,  simply book a skipper in the „optional extras“ section. Skippers are specially trained sailing experts and will ensure you a relaxing and comfortable trip. If you are not sure if your license will be accepted, do not hesitate to contact us.

What additional costs do I have to take into account?

You should factor in the following costs: cleaning and crew costs, visas, fuel, taxes and fees incurred at ports or buoys and berths, waste disposal or rental of additional equipment. Fuel costs and port charges are not included in the price. Should you choose a skipper, a fee will be charged per day as well.

What is a transit log?

The Transit Log is a standard fee. It includes taxes and approval fees which must be paid directly to the charter company at the port in order to rent the boat. The fee depends on the country, the charter company and the boat you have rented and must always be paid, regardless of where you book your boat.

What is tourist tax?

Tourist tax is a regional contribution to municipalities or tourist regions. It is used to maintain regional facilities. The tax varies from country to country and shall be paid directly at the marina to the charter company.

How do I pay?

If the charter company has accepted the booking request and a booking confirmation has been sent to you, the amount of the full booking fee becomes due. For bookings earlier than 30 days before the date of departure, either 100% of the booking fee or 50% thereof have to be paid immediately. The reservation by the charter company will only be completed if the payment of at least 50% has been credited to our bank account. The remaining sum shall be paid no later than 30 days before the date of departure. Please tranfer the booking fee to Topyot’s account No: IBAN: AT09 3200 000000 12492260 BIC: RLNWATWW. Topyot undertakes to transfer the booking fee minus the service fee to the charter company within 5 working days. Topyot will inform the charter company about the receipt of the payment.
